Facility Information PHONE: 828.438.5294 FAX: 828.438.5246 House Information: Total Seating Capacity is 1058. Orchestra seats 778, Balcony seats 280. There are 24 handicap seating spaces located in the lower rear of the auditorium. Stage to house access in via brick stairs extreme stage left and right as well as a center staircase if the pit is open and not in use. Orchestra Pit: Measures 48'x18' with room for seating about 40 musicians and numerous Edison outlets. A Wenger Pit Filler may be erected to cover the pit (If scheduled in advance and does not conflict with event schedules). There is a scissor-jack piano lift center. Access to the Pit is off the Stage left hallway and down stairs. Music stands and lights are available (quantity limited). Dressing Rooms: Located in the stage hall are four dressing rooms (2 single; 2 chorus seating 14-20 each), with adequate racks, mirrors, toilet, and shower facilities. A water fountain is in the hallway outside the dressing rooms. Paging is available through Clear-Com stations in each. Please note: City Ordinance prohibits smoking anywhere within the building. Wardrobe: Irons, Ironing boards, rolling racks, and a jiffy steamer are available. There is laundry on sight, one washer and dryer, for larger needs there are several commercial locations nearby. Stage Dimensions: Proscenium Width = 40'-0", Height = 24'-0". Plaster Line (PL) to back wall = 39'-7” PL to Cyc =36'-11". Apron (with Pit Filler In) to back wall = 51'-7". Apron (with Pit Filler Out) to back wall= 44'-7" Right wall to Left wall (in front of the Proscenium) is 66'-4". Height from house floor to stage = 3'-6". SL Wing is 18'-0" x 39'-7"; SR Wing is 19'-0" x 39'-7". Stage Rigging: There are 39 single purchase line sets (each 52'-0" long), plus a fire curtain. Max load is 1500 lbs per arbor. See attached line chart for further details. There is a Cougar Lift and various ladders available. An average trim height for sight lines is about 22'-0". Grid height is 57'-4". There is no orchestra shell. Soft goods: There are 6 sets of flat black velour legs (28'x10') & borders, one black velour full stage blackout curtain; one mid-stage traveler; one seamless black scrim; one CBS Grey muslin Cyc (28' x 52'); one projection screen (15'x20') with border; and a blue velour Grand Drape manually operated vertically or horizontally. (All legs have a 45 degree return) Under no circumstances may scenery be taped or pinned to any of the soft goods. Stage Floor: The level stage floor is sprung wood (T-in-Groove Oak) over concrete, painted brown. There are no trapdoors. The use of tape, screws, and/or nails in the floor is discouraged, but permitted in limited amounts. CoMMA does not own a Marley dance floor. There are limited stage platforms available. Electric: The lighting system is dimmer-per-circuit utilizing an ETC Insight 3 control board running Strand CD80 2.4kw dimmers (DMX control), 288 circuits total. Houselight control is on a separate push-button station station. The control booth is located at the rear of the main seating level. There are two Strong Xenon Trouper followspots, in the balcony booth. The Tour Company lighting disconnect is upstage left (600 amp, 3 phase isolated power), the Company sound disconnect is downstage left (100 amp, 2 phase isolated power). There are permanent running lights. Around stage. Luminaries may be hung from selected stage pipes (we have 96 circuits in 13 floating circuit boxes), the First Electric, onstage trees, boxbooms, side coves, or 3 catwalk positions (38'x55' throws cat 2&3, respectively). All connectors are stage 3-pin. Please see attached lighting Inventory and Circuit chart. Sound: ~The FOH sound console is located in the control booth . Touring boards may set up in the house in front of the booth. There is a 10 x 10 section that is level set up in advance. House mixing board is a M7CL 48. House playback is through three (left, center, right) hanging nexo geo 12 line arrays. (5) Five boxes each, (4) four RS-15 subs (ground stack), driven by nexo nx 4x4 amps. ~Monitor world is located stage left with a Yamaha M3000A 40x16 console running 12 channels of audio through Ashley Protea Graphic’s (one master, two slave units). Wedges are currently JBL MR905’s pushed by Yamaha P7000S amps. ~Other toys and options The following console options are available: Soundcraft K2 40x8, Mackie 3208, Allen & Heath mix wizard WZ16:2DX. Powered PA: 2 – Mackie 1232, 4 – Mackie 450, 2 – Mackie 1501’s Outboard Gear: TC Electronic M-one, Lexicon MPX-500, Yamaha SPX-90 effects processors; (2) dbx 2231 Eq, Marantz CD recorder, Denton CD/Tape player, ACP-88, Various snakes, cables available Please call for more info.. ~Mic Locker Inside the mic locker we have: (5) SM58, (8) SM57, (4) Beta 87, (1) B87A, (2) SM81, (1) B52, (2) SM91, (4) AKG C535EB, (4) AKG C3000B, (4) AKG D3400, (2) Sennheiser 421 Wireless: (4) Shure Beta 87, (5) Sennheiser 300 series, headset (like Brittney) or lapel A/V: The System is (3) Panasonic 3-ccd remote cameras (1080i) inbound to a Vaddio HD switcher/camera control system. HD view /preview screens. Playback is to (3) Eiki Projectors to L,C,R screens. The system also has an external patch (in booth) to link outside equipment for playback as well as a VGA in located stage right. Backline: A Steinway 9-foot concert grand, Yamaha Studio, 1957 B-3 Hammond, leslie w/ tone cabinet. The Yamaha upright can be put into the orchestra pit. Bass amp – peavey tko 115 w/ on board eq Loading in: The covered loading dock is 3'-0" off the ground (truck height) and can fit one 53’ to the door. The loading dock is at stage level, outer door is 16”w x 10’8”h, straight into upstage right (door is 8’w x 10’h, or left into the scene shop area (door is 8’w x 10’h). Stage Hands: CoMMA is a non-union house. Local talent performs all work required. Hand tools are limited in type and quantity. Major power tools, welders, etc. are not available.
