K9 Unit

Public Safety has two teams of K9 Public Safety Officers (PSOs). PSO Stacey Huffman is partnered with K9 Jaros, and PSO Matt Holder is partnered with K9 Tigo.

Tigo and Jaros are Dutch Shepherds. Both K9's are certified through NAPWDA (North American Police Working Dog Association) as a dual purpose trained K9.  This means that both are certified in Narcotics (Meth, Marijuana, Heroin, Powder/Crack Cocaine, and MDMA), Tracking/Trailing, Article Searches, and Apprehension.
